Naturopathic Treatment

The Path To Better Health

My approach to treatments always attempts to stimulate the body's innate abilities to heal itself.

My goal is to figure out the root cause of your health issues and treat that, rather than just the symptoms.

I then utilize natural therapies to stimulate the body's healing systems and address the root cause of illness.

What Typically Happens

Before starting any treatment, I conduct a thorough assessment of the patient's health, including their current health concerns, their general medical history, lifestyle, diet, stress levels, and review any recent blood work or lab tests.

I then will perform a health concern-oriented physical examination. This, as well as the comprehensive intake helps me gain a holistic understanding of the patient and identify potential underlying causes of their health issues.

Based on the assessment, I develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each individual's unique needs and health goals. These plans may include one or a combination of the following naturopathic treatments:

Lifestyle Modification

Interventions designed to help identify issues that may be hampering one's health arising from someone's diet, lifestyle, exercise, sleep pattern, stress level and emotional state.

Homeopathic Medicine

Homeopathy is a system of medicine based on the principle of "like cures like". Patients' symptoms are compared to side effects that healthy people experience after being exposed to large doses of a herb, mineral, or animal substance. A substance that causes symptoms similar to what the patient is experiencing can be used in infintesimally diluted doses to stimulate a healing response.

Nutritional Medicine

Food and nutrients are used to address nutritional deficiencies, correct physiology and improve body function. Dietary modification, proper nutrition, and supplement guidance is employed to optimize health and prevent disease.

Naturopathic Manipulation Therapy

Is a form of physical medicine which incorporates the art of physical therapy, masage, spinal and extremity manipulation. This form of treatment produces a physical "release", and helps to optimize nerve function, restore range of motion and relieve pain.

Herbal Medicine

Uses plant-based medicines to support the body's healing processes and address specific health concerns.

Acupuncture

Applying fine needles at specific points according to Traditional Chinese Medicine theory to balance the body's energy flow and promote healing.

Microcurrent Therapy

The use of low-level electrical currents stimulates healing and reduces pain. By mimicking the body's natural electrical currents, it promotes cell repair, reduces inflammation, and enhances circulation.

Along with addressing current health concerns, I emphasize the importance of preventive care. This involves identifying potential risk factors and adopting strategies to maintain good health and prevent future health problems.

In some cases, I may work in conjunction with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care for the patient. This collaboration allows for a comprehensive and integrative approach to health management.

Throughout the treatment process, I monitor the patient's progress and make adjustments to the treatment plan as needed. This ensures that the therapies remain effective and aligned with the patient's changing health status.

As a naturopathic doctor, I believe in empowering patients to take an active role in their health. I educate patients about their conditions, the rationale behind treatment approaches, and how they can make informed decisions for their well-being and improved quality of life. My goal is to provide all of my patients with the tools and knowledge they need to work toward balance, vitality, and optimal wellness.
