Naturopathic Doctor

Ever since I was a child, I dreamed of becoming a Doctor -- the kind of healer who would help people as best I could, with all the care and kindness I had. I started the path to achieving my dream at the University of Toronto, where I majored in Microbiology and minored in Immunology. During the course of my university career, I excelled in my studies, and received many awards for academic excellence.
After earning my Honours Bachelor of Science and graduating with High Distinction, I attended The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, the only accredited four-year full-time professional Naturopathic College in Canada. There, I studied all the courses that one studies at medical school, such as anatomy, physiology, histology, biochemistry, differential diagnosis, and pharmacology. I also studied those courses which are unique to Naturopathic Colleges -- Clinical Nutrition, Homeopathic Medicine, Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture, Botanical Medicine, Hydrotherapy, Spinal and Soft-Tissue Adjustments, and Counselling.

My academic and clinical achievements at The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine outshone those I previously achieved at The University of Toronto. I attained top grades in all my classes throughout the four years, and was recognized for my clinical excellence by my teachers, peers, and patients. I graduated from the college, earning many prestigious academic and clinical awards, including the Dr. R. B. Farquharson Award and the Dr. Saveria Zambri Award. I also won the Governor's Medal of Excellence Award, for continuous academic and clinical excellence throughout my four years of schooling.
Today, my commitment to my academic and clinical excellence is just as strong as ever. Aside from keeping up to date by reading the latest naturopathic and medical texts and journals, I attend many continuing education seminars throughout the year. As well, I am a Clinical Instructor to second and third year students at The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Spinal Adjustments and Acupuncture. I also enjoy giving lectures on specific health-related issues to many groups across the Greater Toronto Area.
I feel privileged to have been able to achieve my childhood
dream -- to be a Naturopathic Doctor -- and to work
in Thornhill Ontario, the same community I love, and in which I reside with my husband, Daniel, and my children, Evan and Dalia. I feel I have become exactly what I set out to
be -- the kind of healer who helps her patients to the
best of her abilities, with all the care and kindness
she can give.
